Over the years, I worked closely with vehicles, customers, operations, and the day-to-day realities of the self-drive rental industry. People wanted vehicles that were genuinely maintained, pricing that was transparent, bookings that were simple, and a company that valued their journey as much as they did.
Regrettably, that experience wasn't always available.
Ultimately, this is where my philosophy shifted, Rather than asking customers to adapt to the business, I believed the business should adjust to the customer.
Therefore, that conviction became Self Drive Car Mumbai :

Building Mumbai's first women-safe self-drive brand.
This isn't a marketing campaign. It's a commitment. As I spent more time in this industry, I started listening carefully to the experiences women shared, of being questioned, judged, or made uncomfortable simply for wanting to drive.
Some told stories of being questioned before receiving the keys.
"Can you actually drive this car?"
"Who's really going to drive?"
"Do you even know how to drive a car?"
Others spoke about feeling judged during pickup, being treated rudely, uncomfortable experiences or
sensing that they weren't trusted simply because they were women.
Those conversations stayed with me.
That's why I constantly ask myself one simple question:
"Would I confidently hand these keys to my mother, my sister, or someone I care about if they were driving alone at midnight?"
If the answer isn't an unquestionable yes, then we still have work to do. For us, being a women-safe self-drive brand means much more than clean cars.
